2025 · Case reported in the media

Media-reported case: a complex tumour of the face and neck (2025)

In August 2025, BNT, NOVA and University Hospital Lozenetz reported an operation in which a team from the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery, led by Dr. Slavchev, removed a large tumour affecting one side of a patient’s face and neck, with immediate reconstruction of the area.

The reports differ in how they describe the size of the mass. At the time of publication, the histology result was reported as pending; no final diagnosis is stated on this website.
